Part of our MetalShark family of spent catalyst scavenges, MetalShark Mako is a silica-supported reagent for easy removal of transition metals from product mixtures. Simply add MetalShark Mako to the reaction mixture (5-10 equivalents relative to catalyst), mix 1+ hour, and filter. Metals content may readily be reduced from 5-10% to single-digit ppm by a single treatment.
MetalShark Mako is subject to slow degradation by hydrolysis; storage under inert atmosphere or in a desiccator is recommended.
